What could I wear with a long skirt?

Question

its about ankle length and light to medium olive green. i need a color and/or style of shirt to wear with it

I am in IL and its cold here.
I bought the skirt at OLD NAVY.

if it is cold where you are, how about a black form fitting turtleneck, slick your hair back in a ponytail, either large hoop earrings, or those chandelier, green kind, and perhaps a large bangle.

Where are you located? A white button up oxford is generally a safe choice for any bottom, and adds a touch of casual simplicity and sophistication. If it's cool where you are, perhaps try a long sleeved knitted cream-coloured sweater with a cowl neck. The softer and "fuzzier" the better, but be sure to get a good quality, else your skirt will end up fuzzy as well. Old Navy has a good selection of sweaters like this!

A golden gypsy style blouse, a dark tan bodice, a cream sweater, it is a very versatile skirt - just grab complimentary colored tops from your cache and go for it, be sure to wear boots though for the best effect in the winter and flat strappy sandals in spring/summer.

black or white would look great with olive green

if you try red it can either be awesomly summery or tragically christmas-like

olive green reminds me of like military style so i say you work with it and wear like a tank top and a cool belt and strapy sling back heels

and lots of chuncky jeweler like a great beaded necklace

but if you want to dress it up go with a metalic like bronze :) :) :) that would make for a KILLER outfit

above all wear what you like and be confortable about yourself fashion is 10% looks 90% ATTITUDE

i personally would choose a rich color like black, charcoal, or medium to dark olive green. as for style, try a button down blouse or a polo shirt.

I would buy a brown blouse and brown boots. If the skirt is detailed, make sure the top is plain.

try a cream top ... keep it earthy ... and a bold necklace with earrings to match ... a slim fitting top/tank with a crop sweater with really long sleeves one thats an earthy color ... yellows, tans, creams etc.
