Yes. I can. If you like Coben and Slaughter you will probably also like
Richard North Patterson
or Tessa Gerritson.
Both v. good.
or
Michael Connolly
Jeffrey Deaver
Val McDermid
Also, scandinavian writers are really hot. Anything by Henning Mankell (Swedish) is a great read.
Loads of other scandinavians but I have problems remembering their names so look on Amazon for them... Also some Icelandic writers around - again Amazon can help with the names.
These make a big change from the typical english or american thriller.
Browse in Amazon and read the reviews they have - I find this the best way to choose books now.
I hope you at least try Mankell as his Inspector Wallander stories can be rivetting...happy reading.

I would reccomend Nicci French - I have started buying her books at the same time as Harlan Coben's. Several of her books had films made out of them - for example Killing me softly was a movie with Heather Graham starring in it, and Beneath the skin and Secret smile were dramas on ITV. But never mind tv - she is a brilliant writer, her genre I would say is pshycological thriller, and I simply couldn`t put her books down! "Beneath the skin" is her best book, about three women, all connected by being stalked and subsequently attacked by the same person. The other titles are: Red room, Secret smile, The safe house, The Memory game, Catch me when I fall, Killing me softly, Loosing you.

I have read and LOVE Harlan Coben's books also!!

I would suggest anything by Michael Connelly. I have read all of his books too, and have not been disappointed by any of them. He has some that are a series about a cop, Harry Bosch, and some stand-alones. Try 'The Lincoln Laywer' (a stand-alone). It was really good!

Try 'All Fun and Games Until Someone Loses An Eye' by Christopher Brookmyre. Unlike any story I've read before. More a thriller than 'crime' but with a good dose of black humour.

I know that this is a bit of an old book, but The Stanger Beside Me by Ann Rule is good. James Patterson also has several good thrillers like Kiss The Girls.

Patricia Cornwell writes a good series and so does Catherine Coulter. I also like JD Robb but those books are set in the future.
Happy Reading

I have read books by almost all of the above authors and they are good. However I have recently been reading books by Toni Hillerman.

We combines Native American history, crime, thriller, and spiritual aspects ito many contemporary crime novels.
