Hi Diahann...I'm so sorry to hear this and please accept my sympathies. 4 years is very young for a cat as they can live up to 15-20 years. Foaming, uncontrollable urinating and defecation sounds like your cat ingested toxins which were poisonous.

4 years old, is young for a cat. When they die, they usually lose control of body functions, just like humans. It does sound possible that he was poisoned. Do you know of any poison that you have around the house?

I'm sorry for your loss, but I guarantee it wasn't from old age. A lot of cats live for 15-20 years.

OMG- how horrible. 4 years is not old.

Sounds like maybe he was poisoned or he could even have had some sort of neurological problem or epilepsy (cats get that too).

Only way to tell for sure is to have a vet to an autopsy, which is expensive- probably not worth it unless you suspect foul play by someone...

it sounds like a poisoning but alot of animals relieve themselves when scared, did something (dog, wild animal, etc) get ahold of him??
