Why does he do this?

My man seems to always want to make me jealous of his pretend sister. Since me and her had a disagreement, now he seems to want to tell me all the things he does for her. (Time wise and financially) Before all this happened he never volunteered such info. What pisses me off, is that he acts so tight and stingy with me. By the way, he is my husband. If I ask him, why does he continue to do things for her when she is capable of doing for herself; he seems to take it as an insult and will say things like I must be jealous of her, etc. Why does he do this?
