A steamer. Not the kind that sprays water on carpet but the kind that actually steams. You can get them from rental places. Steam the upholstery but don't saturate it. It will stink to high heaven when you do this. Then use rags or paper towels to blot the moisture up as much as possible then let it air dry.
You can also buy steamers (around $60 and up) from places like Walmart or Target or maybe you can find one online. They come in handy for a lot of things.

If you have a vacuum and a space-bag - place baking soda on the mattress in the space bag and vacuum the air out then leave the mattress in the bag 24hours, remove it an shake it out and if you can put it in the sun for at least 3 hours to kill bacteria. That should fix the problem. Remember that futons need to be placed in the sun at least 3 hours every 3months to keep them fresh and comfortable.

Either OxyClean, just spray it on let it air dry or scrub it in for really dirty areas, or you can use Febreze for pets. I added a link for some ideas.
