Do YOU think it's silly? That's the most important factor here - not what someone else thinks. I've had very unique names for all 6 of my cats over the past 20 years and each name is tied to their personality as well as sometimes the way that I found them. The names I've given my kids in the past are WilyBeth (named after characters from the cartoon show 'Thundercats with a slight modification), Stormy (personality that was quiet one moment then like a thunderstorm the next), Gambit (named after the X-Men character because he loved to steal things), Cupid (he's a loving little orange tabby), Vixen (looks like a female fox and has a vixen-like personality) and Miracle (because it was a miracle she survived when I found her). To some these names are weird - but each means something special to me and when you met them and heard the story it just fit why we called them what we did.

I can't imagine saying that name all the time. Just call him Korvette!

It's cute! Don't be surprised if you end up shortening it into a nickname, though.
