Now it is looking like he may have a new job starting in a few weeks but, I don't have the money to last that long. I have allready sold all of my gun collection and my motorcycle trying to keep our heads above water and now am out of options. Is there any kind of place that can help me with bills for a few weeks untill he gets back to work. I allready tried a payday loan place but they wont loan to us based on his unemployment.

Well I do work at a mcdonalds. or at least i did. they fired me 2 weeks ago. as for getting bill help through the state we tried that and they said that my husbands unemployment is to much a week to help. and if the state finds out he is doing work on the side they will cut him off. we tried talking to family and their answer was the same if it was $20 they would help us but couldn't do anything more than that. am at the end of my rope and don't know were to turn. am afraid of losing every thing.

no my husband isn't defrauding the state. i put that in there for the people that said for him to get work on the side. and fired is actualy not the right word they cut my hours down to 3 a week due to sales and it was costing me more than i was making to get to work.

For food you can always go to the food bank or soup kitchen.
If you need money for bills, they have places like Man Power or similair where you or your husband can show up, get work, and get paid the same day. Waitress jobs are good also, as you can get cash immediately and you don't need to wait to get paid.

Ok. You need money and you need money fast.
1. Go to a temp agency. They usually pay within 3 days of you working and you will be able to get a little money pretty fast. Have your husband go to a temp agency and a manual labor agency as well.
2. Look in the paper and look for ads for dayworkers to clean houses or to do yard work...those are always in there
3. Call your friends that have children and ask if they will pay you to babysit instead of daycare for the next few weeks
4. Have your husband go door to door in your neighborhood and see if there are any odd jobs that neighbors could pay him to do like mowing the lawn, painting, doing handman stuff, etc
5. Do you have a washing machine and/or dryer? If the answer is yes, then you can sell those for a couple of hundred dollars
6. Go get your taxes done now. Your husband should have his w2 for the job he had through last October. You should be able to get some sort of tax refund. You can file with a rapid refund and get your refund money by Friday is you file today
Just a tip. When you and your husband get back on your feet and trust me, it may seem hopeless now but you will get back on your feet....take $25 from every paycheck and put it in savings.

* If you have high credit card bills call the credit card companies & tell them that you are both unemployed and see if you can work anything out with them. You'd be surprised at how flexible they are. Cut up all but one major credit card immediately and cancel store card (Sears, Target, etc.). You will need one major card for emergency purposes but you don't "need" the others. Operate from here on out on a cash basis. No debit cards or credit cards.
* Cancel your cable and all but one cell phone.
* If you owe the government money (IRS, etc.) also inform them that you are both unemployed. They are also flexible and are willing to work out a payment plan with you.
* No more going out to eat, period. Even at fast food places. No more clothes shopping either. If you have kids and they need a snowsuit or bigger clothes or shoes go to Goodwill or check out a yard sale or a church bazzar.
* You probably qualify for WIC. If you have kids, this could really help you: http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/
* Payday loan places love people like you when you have a job. Stay out of them. It's legalized loansharking.
I've tried to overlook the fact for the moment that you got fired from McDonald's (fired? not laid off?) and your husband is defrauding the state, and give you concrete help. But please know this: you're living above your means and you see yourself as a victim. This is the main problem, not your lack of employment. Getting a new job won't make this go away.

Have you tried contacting local charities? Let them know about the situation that you are in and see if there is anything they can offer. Also, if you are affiliated with a church, try asking them for assistance.
Also call your utility companies and ask them for extensions. You may also be eligible for assistance with your bills (especially if you have children).
Also ask your relatives again for assistance (tell them you are willing to sign a promissory note). This will usually make them more willing to offer more money. If they think you will not pay them back then they will usually say they can't help. Asking them face to face will also be more effective -than over the phone.
I am sorry to hear that your family is going through such a tough time. But hang in there! It sounds like things will improve soon.

Why didn't he start looking for a job back in october? If I were him I'd put applications in EVERYWHERE includidng McDonalds until he can find a better job that pays more and has benefits. Heneeds to get a job ASAP because he'll have to wait for a couple weeks until he gets his first paycheck after he starts. Hopefully your husband gets that job that youu are talking about and you'll be back on your feet really soon. If not though, at least he'd have other jobs to fall back on.
Also, I don't know if you work or not but while your husband is off you can work. If you have kids he can watch them while you are at work.

You should have started looking for a part-time job immediately after it happened instead of waiting until your financial reserves had dwindled to nothing.
Even if it's just working in a fast food place or as a janitor, it's only until you become stabilized again.
You could apply for unemployment, but it takes weeks before you receive your first paycheck.

I guess u r not working then and he is recieving unemployment which would disqualify u from recieving more financial aid from the dept. of social services, hmmm. I suggest the Salvation Army, Catholic Family Services and Charities, look in ur yellow pages under charities and support services.

I have no sympathy. If you are in a bind, both of you could have jobs at mcdonalds or something to get you by. Why don't you have a job? Why hasn't he taken a lower pay job just to help out? Seriously, get out and do something other than trying to get ideas on how to get something for nothing.

I am so sorry. Maybe you might like what I do from home. You don't have to stock or deliver and your efforts will last a lifetime. See my profile and email since yahoo doesn't like for us to relay links.

You need to stay away from payday lending. Their interest rate alone will eat you up and his upcoming salary. Would your job give you an advance? Relatives, friends?
