Japan. The US is actually lagging. You know those flat plasma TVs that everyone wants, they were in Europe and Japan years before coming here. Also most of the cutting edge stuff from Japan never makes it here because its too technological for us?! Come on USA make a comeback!

Hi. I have travelled throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East (as well as North and South America). My perception is that Singapore is the most technologically advanced country. My perception is based on:
1. They have more internet access per capita
2. They use technology in unique ways in their daily lives
3. The use of wireless technology is remarkable (restaurants, gas stations, everywhere).
4. They are rapidly becoming a paperless society.
5. Their education system is very impressive.
6. They have no poverty.
7. They have no wars.
8. They have no crime or terrorism.
But, on the downside, it is illegal to chew gum there (well almost but you need a perscription for it).
The United States is actually very behind in technology (compared to Western Europe and Asia). What I mean by this is that technology is not widely available to most people. For example, wireless technology is used everywhere in Asia and Europe to pay hotel bills, restaurant bills, gas stations, smart cards are everywhere (but very few smart cards in the U.S.).
It's interesting that those who answered U.S. have never actually left the U.S.!

Your guess is right . Japan has long been more tec. advanced that any other country. They have had automatic water faucets and flushing stools since the 80s. they have very advanced tec production lines and they are VERY ENERGY conscious..

Japan on most things, I think.
When I lived there, they had many technologies that only just now came out here.
