This is my favorite experiment to do with the kindergarteners at the school where I teach science. It's easy and has quick results.
Biome in a Baggie
Cut the bottom off of a 2-liter pop bottle, about 4 inches from the bottom. To that, add about a handful of pebbles. On top of the pebbles, put potting soil, almost to the top of the container you have made. With your finger, dig a little trench across the top. It only has to be about half an inch to an inch deep. In the trench, place some grass seeds (be generous!). Cover the seeds with dirt, and water them until some water puddles down in the pebbles. Take this and put it in a gallon-size ziplock baggie, and seal it up (be sure to leave air in the baggie. Keep it near some sunlight. You will not need to water or open it, since the water will recycle itself by evaporation, condensation, precipitation. The grass grows pretty quicky! you can find examples of this on the web, too!
Good luck and have fun!

i grow to be at Fratton Park final Saturday (contained in the Wigan end) - you haven't any longer something to be bothered approximately. West Brom think of they are something because of the fact they as quickly as gained the Cup a protracted time in the past. If Defoe and James play like they did final week you would be at Wembley lower back in some weeks :-) good success

There is a great 2 book set available for purchase as well as most libraries called Kid Concoctions - they offer simple science projects for making clay, goo and other fun ideas with objects readily available at home.

This is so neat: At Christmas we made snow. You can buy the stuff from Spencer's gifts. It is fun to pour the powdery stuff in your hands and watch it turn into snowy stuff. It puss up. The kids wil get a kick out of it and they can make a little snowman with it.
