My daughter.
Up until last year I was suffering from depression due to a really tough life but since the birth of my daughter I have a reason to live and a strength I never previously knew.

Live for other people. Take the Utilitarianist approach, a thing is worthwhile if it brings more pleasure than pain. So long as it will make someone unhappy that you have gone, it's worth living.
Of course that would mean that if you were causing loads of pain and that everyone would be happier if you were dead then you should kill yourself, which can't seem great...
Personally I keep faith that my family cares about what happens to me, and so it's worth living to keep them happy.

Everyone has a reason for living, a purpose. When you have no reason or purpose then you have a choice live or die. Dying is easy. Actually when you live, just live, without a purpose then its the best life of all. Just live. No goals, no reasons ,just pure innocent, free, joyful living. The Buddha called it enlightenment.
