When I try to put the truck in 4x4 from 2hi, whether it be auto 4x4 or 4hi the lights just blink. I think it might have something to do with the actuator but Im not sure. Any help would be great thanks.

First of all.. ANY push button type 4 wheel drive or shift is ALWAYS going to cause problems sooner or later! Why do you think dodge stopped it in the 60's.
But the other guys are right.. Its best to let a dealer fix this for you. They can also tell you what else is about to go, (and there is most likely something else). Good luck!

Its just part of the truck dieing and eventually it will completely go. I would Stay away from them forever! IF you cant feel those gears touch when you push a lever.. stay away! Electronic shifting in muddy water..who would have thought!

I used to work in a Chevy Dealership as a Service Consultant...usually this is a problem with either the actuator on the transfer case or simply just the push-button switch itself. Your best bet would be to take it to the dealer, but if you want to try something yourself, the switch would be cheapest for your first guess!

it could possibly be the transmission indicator switch. Had the same problem on a '94 blazer s-10. chevy's electronic 4-wheel is just awful.
