I have been to Majorca and there are definitely some nice beaches there but I would suggest Benalmadena, Costa del Sol.
There is a beautiful Marina which has been voted the best architecturally designed marina in the world. Plenty of good shops there and the night life doesn't stop. Also plenty of night life around 24hr square( aptly named ). There is also Tivoli World, a theme park with cable cars which takes you up to a display of horsemanship and falcon show.In the evenings there are live shows in the open air theatre featuring flamenco dancing , ballet, groups and famous artists.
A nice stroll from the marina heading towards Torremolinos is La Carahuela, beautiful beach and promenade with shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.
There is a train station in Benalmadena at Arroyo de la Miel which going west takes you to Malaga, well worth a visit, and going east takes you to Fuengirola. Each resort joins on to the next so there's just miles and miles of beaches. The buses run regularly and they are cheap

There is more to Spain than the Mediterranean! There are some superb beaches along the Atlantic coast, the so-called 'Costa de la Luz' or 'Spanish Algarve'. Miles of beautiful beaches, nowhere near as overdeveloped as the Costa del Sol and some of the best seafood you'll ever taste. If you're in to watersports, this area is renowned for it's wind and kite surfing.

In Spain the Spanish beaches are over 4,000 kilometres long, washed by the waters of the Mediterranean sea (on the eastern and southern flanks), the bay of Biscay (to the north) and the atlantic ocean (along the west and south). Spain has more than three hundred days of sunshine per year, average temperatures being 18° C - 30° C (64° F - 86° F).The beautiful sunlit beaches in Spain receive millions of tourists each year from all over the world.
