I think it's by a group called Maze featuring Frankie Beverly-the title of the song was called "The look in your eyes".

I have the song on my computer at home and it says KEEP ON LOVING YOU by REO SPEEDWAGON. I am limited in my time to search the net and I would suggest you search for that name and I am convinced it is the song you refer to. I think it is a superb song.
