It was definitely an East Coast artist, late 90's (perhaps 95-97). Very catchy tune, very laid back song. From what I remember, on the video had a very young guy rapping to this. The chorus ran something like:
Ghetto girl
All over the world(2x)
C'mon

Again, it's a late mid to late 90's song (95-99) and it's rap/hiphop. Had a video on BETs Rap City and could have very well be his or their only hit. No big hit artist, seems more like a one-hit-wonder.

I Dont really know what song your talking about, but I think It could be Ghetto Superstar by Pras Michel ft ODB and Mya from the bullworth soundtrack in 1998.It features pras michel and ODB doing a lot of rapping.

Chorus-Mya

Ghetto Superstar that is what you are,
coming from above,
reaching for the stars,
run away with me to another place,
we can rely on eachother,uh uh
from one corner to another,uh,uh.

or it could be...

"Ghetto Girl"
(feat. Me'Shell Ndegeocello)

Ghetto baby
I'm in need of something
That I lost along the way
You know that money's cool
But it makes my world so strange
Now I got ladies talking to me
But they ain't got **** to say
It's like I've come this far just to miss simpler days
I need to feel her tonight
Deeper love with honesty
I've seen a million girls
But there's just one kind for me

[Chorus:]

A ghetto girlliving in a ghetto world
A ghetto girlI like her 'cause she keeps it real
A ghetto girlshe lets me know just how she feels
There's only one girl for me

She won't never leave me guessing
Always let me know the deal
You know that ghetto love is always on the real
She got inner city struggles
And her blood runs deep in me
So when we make love we feel mad history
Well I'm not trying to put nobody down
In this superficial world
But if you need deeper love
You better find you a ghetto girl

[Chorus:]

A ghetto girlliving in a ghetto world
(Brother you love who you please)
A ghetto girlI like her 'cause she keeps it real
(But it's a sister girl for me)
A ghetto girlshe lets me know just how she feels
(It's that ghetto love I need)

[Bridge:]

There's only one girl for me
Girl if they tried
They would see you like I do
Hold your head up high
There's no one above you
With you by my side girl
There's nothing that I can't do
I've been around the world enough for me to see
Boy you best believe
It's going to be ghetto girls for me

Ghetto girl, ghetto girl
Ghetto girl, ghetto girl

i might locate it stupid and sounds like a fetish...i do no longer comprehend everybody who acts like that parody yet i might in actual fact prefer to renowned why do whites love those parodies so? I purely see them as quickly as I get in this internet site and white human beings look this nonsense up...do you desire this to maintain stereotypes alive? Does it make you experience extra advantageous approximately your self?
