soccergirl.. just cuz Cannavora is more sexually attractive than Ronaldinho or Zidane doesnt mean that hes a better player. i think he deserved the player of the year(being a WC year.. this happens every WC).. but by no means is he the worlds best player.. Ronaldinho won it in 2004 and 2005 and Zidane in 2002 who both were easily the worlds best players at the time..
People can have their own opinions.

Because the team that he captained had to cheat to win in Italy. He has been sub par since his move to Real Madrid.
He had a very good World Cup. He showed how good he was.
However, I still believe Ronaldinho did more then Cannavaro did in the ENTIRE YEAR. Its not just the World Cup, its the entire year, domestic and European included. Cannavaro won the Series A with Juventus, but they cheated their way to the title.
Ronaldinho was instrumental in Barca winning La Liga, winning the Champions League, although he had a poor World Cup, he recovered and is now leading La Liga in goals scored and playing great football. The World Cup has huge ramifications in the voting, I understand that, but from my point of view, its the FIFA Player of the YEAR, not FIFA MVP of the World Cup. Ronaldinho had a better individual year, even if he didn't show up in the World Cup.

i don't think people are jealous or stupid..I agree with the critics that Cannavaro didn't deserve to win that award. I don't believe he did that much during the world cup and during the year he played with Juventus. I would of prefered Buffon or tierry henry who i felt deserved the award more than Canna and so many others from other countries. Sorry, I love Canna but looking at it from the sports perspective, I don';t think he should of won it.

Much better players than him in the World Cup and in Europe that year. Just look at how useless he is at Real right now. Learn to examine and watch soccer first, then speak.

Because that is their opinion and they are entitled to have one even if it differs from that of others. Not agreeing does not make one jealous nor stupid. It is simply what they believe.

They' re not jealous or plain stupid but try to give an opinion which is for me base on current perfomances...
But for me the awards may be means something for ownselves but not the people who loves football from their heart...
For them popularity means nothing...Lets feet do the talking..They get their reputation above...Just ask Ronaldinho..

Because people are not robots that thing exactly the same. Each human have the property to think different than others. This is a good sympthom that we are not turning into stupid amebas... not everybody is safe though

All of us have opinion some may be jealous but i don't think that he deserve it.I did not see nothing world class in him nad he is getting older...Inter let him go and they must have reason for that...For me Ronaldinho is wreally god of football but others disagree with that.Like i said everyone have their own opinion!
