I do. I feel like I empathize with everyone, except maybe people who don't empathize with others. I always try to put myself in other people's shoes, and I think even the "worst" of us are capable of decency. I felt bad for Tookie Williams. I felt bad when I I read a story about exconvicts not being able to get jobs. I feel bad for gang related deaths and suicides. I even felt bad when Sadaam was executed. Does anyone else do this? Would our society be better if more had such views?

You sound like you are a very sensitive person. Probably a little more enlightened than a lot of people since you realize that we can't judge other people unless we have walked in their shoes.
But as far as feeling bad for people who have made less than good choices or because of their circumstances they have a rough time with things---I would ask myself the question---"would I want people to feel sorry for me if I made a big mistake that cost someone sorrow and grief and kind of wrecked havoc on things" I doubt it.

Me, me, me! Someone told me it's b/c I'm a libra but I don't know about all that, lol. I am the same exact way, I'm very good at empathizing w/ others and seeing their point of view.
