I have this friend who's stomach is considerably large and no matter how much she exercise it just does not go away and I'm thinking maybe this is one of those long term things due to past procedures.

Some results could be a perforated uterus, perforated bowel or bladder, septic shock, sterility, also there can be a risk of cervical tears or perforations, including small tears that might not be apparent and might cause cervical incompetence in future pregnancies. As for the fat stomach, I have not heard of that as a side effect of abortion. Perhaps it is punishment for your friend being so irresponsible? There is NO excuse for 12 of them...if she hasn't figured out by now what is causing that, she should get into a special education sex program.

Scar tissue build up? possible. Highly doubtful though. She's got more important things to worry about then a little tummy fat. She'll probibly never carry another baby to term because of the procedures. She'll never know the joys of motherhood... how sad is that. Anyway, about the tummy fat... woman's bodies change as we get older, that stomach area becomes a trouble spot with or without pregnancy and abortion. She might just be at that age now.

tell her to see a psychiatrist.

all the weight and stress of having 12 abortions is settling in her stomach and will be with her forever.

doesn't she know that she could get free birth control at Planned Parenthood?

i dont really believe you, i dont think a dr would let anyone have 12 abortions. and it DOESNT effect your ablitiy to have children in the future. thats just something that anti choice people tell you to scare you into not having an abortion. she should see a doctor about her fat tummy and while shes there get on the pill

She probably has a large stomach due to trying to swallow her guilt & shame.

She needs serious counseling, not diet advice.
