I just realised that my bank is more than 100 miles away. I just moved and there are no Washington Mutuals in Statesboro, GA. Not only that, I wrote a check two days ago, and bank by mail is not fast enough.
Apart from mailing in the check, are there any other faster ways to get the check to my bank account today?

I think you could go to a local bank and open an account and then you could transfer money to the other bank.. You could also call whoever you sent the check to and tell them what happened. They may accept a wire transfer.

See if the company issuing the check to you will direct deposit into your account instead of sending you a check.

Call them and see if they accept deposits in another bank's ATM machine.
