ok I have an interesting scenario here, the monitor on my laptop broke yesterday (my wife steped on it...) so now I can see the left 1/3 of the monitor while the right 2/3 is completely black.I still consider myself lucky as the START button is on the left side so I can still use it & open windows.
The problem is that some application when I click them, their screen will be under te dark side of the monitor so I cant view it.
The question is : is there any way (through he control panel which am still bale to control) that I force all windows & applications to open on the left side of the monitor were I can see them?

If you have programs which have to run in full screen mode, you have to change the monitor's definition of the full screen. Whether or not you can do this completely, I don't know.

Your monitor should have some controls to expand and contract the screen both up and down and across. It should also have some controls to move the center of the screen, again both up and down and across. You may be able to contract the screen and recenter it to the left. However, even if you can do this, your graphics card will probably result in a weird display as pixels are compressed in one direction but not the other.

Other than that, I would advise adjusting your windows and searching each program for an option to retain the window settings or positions.

Two options:

1) Just plug an external desktop monito into the laptop and use that. This way you can see everything full screen. They are cheap, or you can probably get one for free at some place like http://www.freecycle.org

2) Look on eBay and see what a replacement LCD will cost for your laptop. Generally, you can get them for less than $200, and you should be able to swap it out yourself.

I have the answer, what happen is that the gas inside the screen was released, what you need to do is to open the panel and probe the broken part from inside and then close the panel. good luck
