I just saw my son's doctor for the very same thing... he is 4 months as well. The doctor told me that there was nothing to worry about. He said to keep his bottom clean and dry to prevent rash. Make sure that he stays hydrated. If you rub your hand across his soft spot and it seems sunken in, then he is becoming dehydrated and to give him pedialyte immediately. Monitor his temperature every 12 hours or so and just let it run its coarse. Don't give him water or juice. Just continue his formula and give him 2 ounces or so of pedialyte every so often. If he stops eating or has a consistent elevated temp, then call the doctor. Other than that, comfort him and try to relax.

For God's sakes - 4 month old babies don't really get diarreah! Don't water down their milk or do the BRAT diet! Geesh!! I'm sure the change is the consistancy of the poop has to do with the shots he just got. Just keep giving him his normal formula or breastmilk and you should see the poop firm up in a few days. Keep his diaper changed and keep the bottom protected by applying a layer of Aquaphor - this will protect and also prevent any diaper rash.

If it purely got here approximately as quickly as, it is not something to be bothered approximately, yet while he has 5 or extra of those diaper in an hour's time then that's something to be bothered approximately. it is common, my son has had a number of those, particularly if he did no longer choose for a protracted time. Teething may additionally do this to them, so examine to work out if he's initiating to the teeth. whether he does practice teething signs and indications, it would not propose he will have the teeth quickly - my son began at 3 months, yet did no longer get his first the teeth until eventually he grow to be 6 months previous.

You need to call your doctor, this needs to be reported to the people who track vaccine reactions. Other parents and healthcare professionals deserve to know what the real rates of side effects to vaccines.
The safest thing to do is just keep your baby hydrated. Feed them often (breastmilk or formula). If you are formula feeding ask about using a rehydration solution. These are NOT appropriate for breastfed babies so long as the breastfed baby is still nursing. If they are NOT nursing then you may consider other liquids.
Watch their temperature and extra snuggles

Almost certainly connected to the shot...can be common reaction to some of them - call whoever administered the shot to make sure. If not normal as reaction to the shot received, don`t worry leave it be and make sure baby getting its liquids. If the diarrhea continues two days, is accompanied by fever or strange behavior or if there`s blood in the poop then go see doctor.

If your baby just got shots yesterday it may be causing the diarrhea, call his doctor and see if you can give the baby pidalight or a little gator=aid , you don`t want the baby to dehydrate and if it keeps up take the little one to the hospital I had to do that when my son was young
don`t worry everything will be fine ..

Defintiely call the doctor if you're getting more than one diaperfull every 90 minutes, kids his age can dehydrate quickly! He could've picked up a stomach bug somewhere - like the doctor's office.=)
Meanwhile, make sure he's hydrated - give him pedialyte for now, and if he's on formula - you can buy Isomil DF (Diarrhea Formula) - but hold off on that unless it goes on for a couple of days.

water down his milk....if you're gonna give him 4 ounces of milk, only give him 2 ounces of milk and add 2 ounces of water, mix and let him drink. If he's already eating, giving him rice cereal, banana and apple baby food may also help. Sometime's they get diarreah after their shots. If it persists for more than 2 days, you may want to consult your pedriatricians office...Hope the little guy feels better soon.

it kinda pi##ed me off when you wrote/asked if c.c. is retarded...... RUDE!! she was trying to help...... with very helpful information.... just not for a 4 month old.......
Anyway, If your baby has DIARHEA (& if he just had his shots yesterday), then, that's probably why he's getting it. Make sure he's drinking fluids.... like formula.... maybe abit of water and most doctors & pharmacists would recommend PEDIALYTE
