Every particle of hard evidence and reason points to the probabilty that man has evolved downward.

sorry, i don't feel we have "evolved" yet.

We evolved and have a primate as a similar ancestor.

Evolution is to best adapt to the world around us by slow process. If we de-evolved than we'd just die. Forget about science? Isn't this topic ABOUT science?

It takes a real brain to make a wheel. It also takes a real good one to make a theory for something that cannot be tested like the atomic bomb.

To invent something with your hands through physical experimenting is actually far easier than theorizing with facts.

The wheel was great for it's time. And it's time has passed. We still use it just as much as cutting tools, art, civilization.

We evolve everyday. Wheather it be physical or, chemical or intellectually. We are born ignorant. So if you are implying we are getting more stupid let that be dependent on the individual not the rest of humans.

If you put a person in a position where they have to think less to survive than they will. We live by survival and evolve by survival. If the environment should become less demanding of us than we'd adapt to that.

We are primates, so are apes; their study is called Primatology. We shared a common ancestor with the apes, as shown by a plethora of fossil and DNA evidence. It is no fantasy. The Easter Bunny is a fantasy. Santa Claus is a fantasy. Exodus is a creation myth, like that of the Hindus or the Australian Aboriginals. They can't all be right. Truth is, they're all stories, with no hard evidence to back them. Show me a real miracle and I'll convert on the spot, but you can't, can you?

The definition of a successful species is having offspring. We don't evolve up or down, nature accepts ANY solution. We evolved from a common ancester, but one species doesn't change into another one.
So there is a little mouse-type creature, one stays on the ground and has babies, another of the same species climbs trees and has babies. Both are successful. It is harder work to figure out how to catch insects than it is to eat fruit, also protein helps fuel a larger creature. Using hands creates more neural connections in the brain. Doing more helps the species survive longer so we have more babies, but that doesn't stop the species who went into the trees from having their own babies.

We haven't evolved. God created everything. Man is slowly crumbling. Our ancestors were smarter than we are. The flood stopped them from completely corrupting the earth. Yes you are right, we are getting dumber and our genetic makeup is crumbling also which is why we have defects and disease that earlier people never ran into. Evolution teaches that everyone is getting better. The truth is everything is breaking down. We have conveniences that no one had long ago, but they knew stuff we still cannot duplicate and they did it without a computer. Search history and you know I am right whether you like it or not.

How can you evolve 'downward'. There is no up or down in evolution it is simply a process of change. The belief in a pyramidical structure of evolution which places man at the 'top' is merely a representation of human bias favouring humans. In relation to the ecosystem as a whole the human species (who are primates) is not particularly important for the survival of life on the planet. Get rid of humans and life would continue to flourish, get rid of micro-organisms and life for the 'higher' more 'complex' species would probably become impossible.

Primates stepped forward from tree shrews and then varied. What we see right this moment are cutting-area species - of path they did no longer evolve from one yet another yet from previously, now extinct ancestors. No species ever stepped forward from a single individual because of the fact persons do no longer evolve - populations evolve - in case you prefer to locate a "lacking link," you will possibly desire a fossil from those divergent populations. in case you prefer to locate yet another species in basic terms like people, detect a inhabitants of our ancestral line that experienced precisely the comparable genetic and environmental pressures that our ancestors did over the final million years in a international the place people have in no way trod.

We evolved from a common ancestor that we share with primates.

Evolution does not go downward or backwards, only forwards.

When asking a question about a scientific subject it is impossible to then "ignore science". It you ignore science then you set human progress back to the dark ages and reintroduce the superstition, witchcraft and muddled thinking that so characterised the period before the Rennaisance when the church dominated everything and as a consequence progress, knowledge and enlightenment were stifled by torture and inquisition. Or perhaps that is the intention of creationists and religious fanatics?

What your question ignores is not science but common sense.

Evolution is not directional and has no purpose or progressiveness. It is just about the immediate adaption to environmental conditions of ones ancestors. The variation in genomes and the differential survival of reproducing organisms for progeny. There is no " evolving downward ", even in a metaphorical sense.

We are a form of primate. There are several other species in the primate family. If memory serves, your DNA is over 99 % identical to that of the apes. Respect your ancestors.

Neither. We evolved into primates and have not yet evolved into anything that needs to be separated from the primate line.
