It has to be a joke. That can't really be happening.

Of course it's a joke. Ron L. Hubbard started up a church and sold his idea to the celebrities to make lots of money. Now all of them think they are higher beings (aliens) from another planet. Tom Cruise is no more Christ like than any other human being on this earth. It doesn't matter if they believe they are aliens or not, they are all idiots with unrealistic views. Thank you.

He is a scientologist, they don't believe in Christ. They have a website if you have questions about the religion. The current head of the relgion L. Ron Hubbard has made it known in several interviews that he would like Tom Cruise to head the organization after he has retired or passed away. Tom has never said whether he will or not, but he certainly is a big fan of the scientific type of religion.

Nope... not a joke. This is yet another in a long line of loony publicity stunts orchestrated by Scientology to shine the spotlight on itself, even if it's seen in a NEGATIVE light.
It's like a child starved for attention... the child will throw a tantrum in the middle of a crowded grocery story if it'll get them noticed.

From what I heard it's that the Scientology people believe that he is the chosen one and that we will all someday worship him. They may believe, but in my book and the Bible that's a joke.
