It is possible to have a period for the first 1-2 months you are pregnant. Take another test, and if you are still showing positive, congratulations! Keep a close eye on it, though, because it is also possible that you have a tubal pregnancy. You should probably go see your OB & let him/her know.
If you show negative, it is possible you had a very early miscarriage. About 1/3 of all pregnancies (it is estimated) end before we ever know we're pregnant because they weren't viable.

This amy not be happening, you could be pregnant and just had a period, but a chemical pregnancy picks up the hormone and gives a faint positive and then you start! Search chemical pregnancy!!!!!!!!!! It is an early miscarriage and the only people know are the ones who test early! Others assume their period came and never conceived! Best wishes- if it was chemical, no damage done-it will not hurt future pregancies. I have had a chemical pregnancy

i had normal bleeding like a period when i was pregnant with my daughter, it lasted through the first three months of pregnancy. Get in to see the Doctor and tell him about the test that came out positive.

Personally I'd now take another pregnancy test to see. Normally if the test is positive you are pregnant. However, maybe you had a period anywhere and miscarried the baby, or just had a fooler period. I check it again and if it is positive again go see your doctor.

You could have had a chemical pregnancy (in other words an early miscarriage). I would call your doctor and let him know what happened - he may want to do some bloodwork. However, I know several people that have had periods for several months into a normal pregnancy.

Take another test. My friend had 2 full peroids at the begining of her pregnancy so by the time she found out she was already almost three months along.

there is NO such thing as a wrong positive test, just wrong negaitves. you have a hormone that is produced during pregnancy adn the test is made to detect it. if its there the test found it. you can have a light period during pregnacy for hte first 3 months.

sweetie, there is no way to know for sure except another pregnacy test. go to store and get another or go to your doctor. good luck, and look into birth control while you're at it if you don't want another baby yet :) you can have bleeding and such when you're pregnant, but usually it's not full-blown flowing, so if you are pregnant again, i'd mention this to your OBGYN and see if it concerns them. good luck to you!
