Making plans is not a bad idea but please don't forget to live in the moment, otherwise life will pass you by.

If you plan things, life will throw you for a loop. Live life to the fullest, and stop trying to schedule everything. Schedules always seem to become in disarray.
That is a wise line by John Lennon.

It is similar to taking a journey to reach a destination. Life is your journey, and the plan is the destination. If you focus too much on getting there you just stop enjoying the scenery, the light, the perfumes, the wind, and the fun of taking the journey.
Focus less on the destination and enjoy every moment while you can.

While we can make plans for the future, things will come our way that cannot be anticipated or planned for... some of these things are opportunities, such as careers or relationships that were unexpected, others are setbacks, such as job loss or broken relationships. Practically no-one arrives at their deathbed and says, "it all played out just the way I thought it would." Part of the art of living is not just making plans, but adapting gracefully to all the unexpected circumstances that come our way.

Life is already happening at the same time that you are planning for it to happen. So enjoy what is happening, and change course if need be, instead of focusing on trying to plan things in the future. Things don't happen exactly as planned. You can't plan your life, it just happens anyway, and not according to your plan.

Don't make plans, act. I went to New York a few years back. I made sure I had enough money for gas, I booked a room. I packed a small bag. I got in my car and took off.

Life is what happens in between the points of life. We live only to experience life (those moments when you feel truly alive) and in faith that another moment will come.

i find myself uttering this quote quite often. life, things you didn't expect, plan, anticipate are all a part of life.
you finally have the house to yourself and suddenly the doorbell rings. your cousins and their five kids decided to surprise you and they're staying for a week. and you thought you were finally going to write your book, paint that painting, call your friends - whatever!!!
you can hardly wait for your upcoming ski week end and you sprain your ankle, your mom gets sick or your boss tells you you must work or else.
i''m sure that's what he meant.

To me it means that while you are making big plans for life, things are already happening to you in your life that you have to deal with.

it's like taking the other girl for granted while you're busy snooping around for another one. One should watch his back whatever he has done to that girl who cried and cried and who did nothing but love. It could come back to him for all i know.
