Does racism attract the unintelligent or do the unintelligent default into racist mentalities? An exploration of this phenomenon can be most informative. Why would they tend to be hypochondriacs?

People have asked "How do you know racists have lower IQs" and claimed that an occasional "smart" Racist proves that the average racist doesn't have a below average IQ.

Research shows that the average racist has a below average IQ. I would have thought someone claiming a 160 IQ would have known what "averages" are.

Sometimes governments install racism into their people so they would have an easier time killing people. The "enemy" is always called in some racist terms. e.g. Japs, Nips, Krauts, Towel heads, Gooks, Imperialist Dogs, etc. If you think of the "enemy" as just another 18 year old kid that has the same wants and needs as yourself, it may be harder to pull the trigger.

How do you know racists have lower IQ's? I know that the racists on Yahoo Answers tend to sound like a group of dolts, but it is a serious mistake to underestimate an entire group of people.
You may not agree with racist thinking, you may think it is disgusting, uninformed, puerile, etc. but, just because someone thinks differently from you, does not necessarily make them unintelligent. I would not be at all surprised to find out that some of the greatest minds of all time have harboured at least some racist thoughts. It is often just a product of our upbringing. Hopefully, an enlightened mind strives to learn that we are all equal in our humanity.

Lower IQ's means less education resulting a group of people that will follow their own kind. They are weak and are prayed upon by the stupid. They do not have the intelligence to overcome the need to follow the crowd around them.
They are hypochondriacs because it gets them attention they would not get other wise.
It is the some the world over.
The less educated are doomed to follow someone that does not have their best interest at heart.

I don't think it's fair to assume that racists have low IQs. Hate may not be smart, but smart people can surely conjure up unreasonable prejudice. Then, too, there's a big difference between ignorance and stupidity. Racism is an equal opportunity character defect!

I think it is more that the unintelligent default into racist mentalitiy.
The more educated you are and the more experiences you have with a wide range of people the less likely you are to hold racist views. This may simply be because if you expose your self to different cultures you begin to realize that being an *** has nothing to do with race, gender or religion.

Racism and IQ has nothing to do with. Can we conclude lower IQ indicates prejudice, high IQ not? No, we can't. There are highly intelligent people who are racists. Some people are just plain simple assh0le no matter what. I can't believe this is from PSU site.... If anyone who studied psychology know better IQ test means nothing.

You are confusing IQ score with wisdom and intelligence with ignorance. Many intelligent people can be insanely ignorant, and use their intelligence to fund and create studies that "prove" their theories, and if they are intelligent enough, they can mess with whatever they do to make it seem like fact when it's not. They just aren't using their intelligence in a positive manner.
Yet, many unintelligent people ARE racist. Those are the ones you often SEE chanting "Down with (insert race and most likely racial slur here)!" in public only to be humiliated, ostrasized, and/or even beaten. Unless they congregate in large numbers. The smart racists keep their comments to themselves and sublty test the waters socially so they know who is with them so they can openly speak with those people about their beliefs.
It's sad, but I believe it's true. Intelligent people can be racist, and sometimes are. Wise people are the ones that rarely are racist. Well, wise and those who have enough common sense to know melanin effects only your skin color, not your IQ or whatever racial traits racists want to plaster onto other races.
