HOW can experience effect our self concept? well imagine if you are a kid and no matter what you do it gets laughed at sooner or later you develop low self esteem come to feel perhaps you are stupid and you might even quit trying altogether. If in your teen life you ask a person out on a date and are turned down but ask others but still are turned down you may eventually believe that you will never get a date. the same is true in the reverse if a parent is constantly reaffrimaing their child and giving praise that experience of outer love helps with our feeling of self love and worth. if your boss keeps turning you down for a raise you will either believe that your work is no good and you are no good or that your boss is a d i c k and mistaken and you will start looking elsewhere for work it would depend on what your self confidence and self esteem level are BASED on prior experience in personal self issues here is a place that may make for good reading on the subject:

Well if you live to be old by example you must know something as only the strong survive and through your lessons You have learned you are a worth while person and learned to get along with others and yes You will be different they say every 7 years we all go through the learning curve.

Yes, when you go out with success out of some bad situation you start valuing yourself. Your concept of yourself changes.
