if you go on to www.whatmyipaddress.net, www.proxyvan.com or www.proxybus.com then you can go to any site you want, the idea of these sites is to have anonomus browsing, it redirects everything and as far as i know stuff cant be tracked, i use is every day at work to get past the filtering system they have. Download Torpark and put it on a USB Flash keychain. Plug it into any internet terminal whether at home, school, or public. You could clear your cache (your web activities) before signing off everyday.
I'm not sure if big brother is checking your computer sites while you're on during the day or by checking after you leave though.
To clear your Cache:
1. Click on Tools->Internet Options. When this box opens, look down to the lower section where it says "Clear Search History" and click on it.

No there is no way to avoid being tracked. You have no expectation of privacy on a company computer and you are expected to use your time productively.
The company in all probabilities did not hire you to surf eBay and sports sites, and are thus expecting that you wait until you are on your own time to do so.

There is a way but it is questionable if you can use this setup. The way to do it is to open an encrypted connection to a remote computer, a computer at home perhaps, and use your computer at home to access internet and through your encrypted connection to forward that information to your computer at work.
Look at programs like RealVNC or GotoMyPC.com
This will only work if the port you are using to connect to the remote machine is open and is not being blocked by your I.T. manager.
Most corporate network schemes access internet through a gateway and if the I.T. manager wants to install a software to monitor activities and sniff packets and record all connections to external sites, they can.
If you access your home computer from work through RealVNC, the only connection your I.T. manager will see is the connection to your home computer and not the encrypted data being sent to your work computer by your home computer.

Over the years of being at school and having a "protected" network, i.e. content is filtered, students have ALWAYS found a way around it, whether it's using a "portable" browser or even unplugging the Ethernet cable from the terminal and plugging it into their laptop!
Those are two ways of doing it by the way.

You can't. They're not even looking at browser history, they track keystrokes and real time whole web pages. The only thing you can do is not use those sites if you want to retain your job.

the only thing you can do is to download a cleaner and run it before you go home at the end of each day but your boss will prob want to no why you have it on your pc
you could always work while there and save personal things for when you finish...!
