i want my parents divorce info but how do i get it for FREE

They keep these records at our local courthouse. You'll have to call your's to find out. The only fee is a copying fee. I assume it's this way everywhere.

Divorce records are kept in the District Clerks Office in the community where the couple was divorced. They are a matter of public record, and can be viewed by anyone. Consent is not needed.

You will likely be able to view the records for free. If you want a copy, there is a fee. Generally, most clerk's office charge a per page fee. Some may have just a set amount. If you want it certified, it will also cost you a little more.

it is public record and you can view it at the courthouse. they will charge for copies. you can't look at anything that is sealed.

Ask them for it, otherwise you cannot get it without their consent and paying for it.
