do u want to unpartition the drive or retrive data ????
once u delete partitions and crash the partition tables, and FAT's i dont think you can recover data.
there are many data recvovery tools though, just do one thing. try them from google.com.. there are many hardware technitians who are experts in data recovery : just one more thing to tell u, these data recovery are damn expensive.
so be ware of the costs before u go into real time data recovery !

It MAY be possible if you know how it was partitioned originally.

Repartitioning can involve reformating or it can involve just editing a table at the beginning of the disc. In theory if you can restore that table back to what it was, you should be able to get the data back.
UNLESS you actually formatted that 1.5GB partition, in which case you're hosed and will need very complex and possibly expensive data recovery tools/services.

To repartition just use FDISK & set it back to the original partitioning.

No, unless you have backed the partition information with some software such as Acronis PartitionExpert and have the rescue disk. Even then, it's touch and go. The data may still be there unless you have written extensively to the disk after the re-partitioning. But it will be a job to get them back as they will inevitably be scattered all over the disk.

If data on your hard disk is corrupted it is advisable to format the hard disk and reinstall the operating system (usually Windows XP). If a new hard disk is used, you may prefer to partition the hard disk into 2 or more drive. The operating system is installed on the first drive and a backup of the data is stored on the second drive More details at http://fixit.in/format.html

If you have created only one partition with 1.5GB and forgot to partition the remaining space, then u need to copy the data into external HDD/Flash drive. Now place any Operating system (Any Windows Operating system) and choose the options to unpartition the partitioned space and create again freshly.

If you have other partitions excluding 1.5 GB, then u can simply copy data in to other drive & Right Click on My computer->Mana ge -> Disk Management->Select perticular partion and format it & Choose delte logical drive option. You can unpartition a drive & club it to another only if it's a logical drive. You can not unpartition primary Drive.

If you want to unpartition a primary one, then place any Operating system (Any Windows Operating system) and choose the options to unpartition the partitioned space and create again freshly.

Several questions here, but it sounds like you partitioned it before you backed anything up, why I don't know, but, depending on the OS which you failed to meniton you can use FDISK, or search the web for BARTS hard drive programs. You can reset it back to 120 GB and TRY to read it, don't get your hopes up though. Depending on what you have done since you partitioned it.

There are such programs as Partition Magic to do partition work.
If the data is lost, programs like GetDataBack can help you with that.

if you've lost data because it was partitioned, your stuffed because the hard disk formats itself to be able to make the partition, the whole disk has to be formatted to do this so you will need to reformat the hard disc with the partition you want. Any information you have will need to be copied first or it will be lost
