Yes, believe it or not he was a real person and I am related to him through my mother's mother's line. I did'nt even know he WAS real until I started researching my genealogy. Obviously the stories about Camelot and such are made up, but King Arthur was real. Click on my 360 & send me an email.

Yea! He was taken form his family when he was first born, by Merlin. It was a good thing because there was a war soon after, almost every one was killed. Merlin taught him about being a good king, though Arthur did not know he was to be king.
Merlin sent Arthur away to live with a step dad. While he was away, Merlin put a sword in a stone.
when Arthur was only 10 he was chosen to be the squire for his brother. While looking for his brothers sword he drew the sword out of the stone, making him king, though he had to redraw it some 7 times! No other man could.

King Arthur was based on a king of Wales around 500 A.D. Little is know about the real charactor, or if he really existed. He is believed to be a Welsh king who lived during the time the Angelo-Saxons conqueered the Brytons (ancient Welsh).
