Because these same people cant admit and refuse to admit that Iraq has turned into a civil war.

why did we go there for no good reason and now complain about violence?
As if it can't happen to us if faced with similar situation-OK we havent had a huge attack on our entire country like Iraq has , but consider: Remember what happenned in New Orleans after the Hurricane hit? violence/looting etc due to lack of security and services etc That's just a small scale and a hint of what would happen.
It happens in any place when faced with similar situations. Humans are not that good at behaving when their cities are bombed and families killed / infrastructure destroyed and the criminals know they can now rip and run. good night Im goin to bed

There are thousands jihadists/foreign terrorists that would disagree with you. Their #1 reason for going to Iraq is so they can do as much harm to the US troops as possible. So, yes, you are right about the US being caught in the middle of a civil war but they are in a direct fight with Al Qaeda/foreign terrorists as well.

Though I agree with you, I will say there is NO OTHER BETTER REASON for our involvement in IRAQ. Right now, they are focused on the battle for the middle east. When they win (which they will - has the US ever really won any guerilla war against local insurgents? NO!), they will return to focusing on overseas targets with renewed vigor and the remembered deaths of their families to fuel the fire.

Actually most of it is Sunni versus Shiite - the "sectarian" violence.
What did you expect? Going into an arab country and trying to "democratize" the various muslim factions is akin to going into the African savannah and trying to democratize the hyenas and the lions.

That sounds pretty accurate to me, but even though we are the "referees" we still have to fight because we are also targets of IEDs and other attacks. look at the news.
