If you don't want to buy the international stamp, you will need 3 stamps. The rate for a letter to the UK (first ounce) is 84¢.

i send letters to Philippines at least twice a week from the USA and the Best way i have found out is to just go to your post office and they will make you a stamp electronically then you only have one stamp.if you like to send stamps from here ''in case some one there is a collector'' i just buy a few separate and put them with my letters.

I send letters to Ipswich, England all the time. You have to take it to the post office and they will weigh it and put the proper postage on it. I believe it is 80 cents.

Go to www.usps.com
Click on Calculate Postage
Make sure to select International rates and select England.

It will be more than 39 cents.

About 7.80 but I would recommend that you send the jewelry in a padded mailer envelope than an ordinary paper envelope. Because it will have a better chance of getting to its destination undamaged and un-stolen. Because its got a long way to go almost half way around the globe. But if you want it to get there fast with a guarantee of safe delivery - maybe it would be better for you to send it by UPS or FedEx private carrier. good luck!
