I recently posted a question asking what film had the dog called ****** in it
The answer was Dambusters.
I've self-censored the answer above in case someone else decides to report me. Its the Latin word for black
Yahoo violated me for racial slur ??
Whats that about. Who did i slur ??? I used a word in the English language to ask about a film where ther word is used.
Someone, anyone, please explain why that is racist ?
I guess if Yahoo violate this question they are censoring the latin language, boy are we in trouble then.
sure, it would not be acceptable to call a dog this today, i agree that would be racist and insulting.
However, are we now to censor all history and films in case they might offend ?? The word was used. Is it really racist to say a word was once used ? Are we supposed to all deny it ever happened.
If we start re-writing history we are in trouble.
dare we speak anymore ?

bob, i invite you to review all my other Q&As. do i look or sound like a racist ?
Of course i was asking a genuine question. The film was on BBC TV on Saturday afternoon, and i knew it was also shown in another film and wanted to know which one.
I wonder, is the BBC now racist for showing the film ? More so than me jsut asking a simple fatual historic question .

Thanks to papuman2000 for the answer.
However, all you've done is imply i'm a racist and ignore my quesiton.
What was the point in that ?
I'm guessing there would be little point in me providing evidence of how i'm not a racist.

hey, papuman2000, i was too easy on you with my other comments.
Please show me where the "lots of questions that imply racism" are ?
Thats an insulting slur you know.
Posting your false stuff and running away is hardly contributing to this debate.

As a black man i don't care if you and the rest of the civilized society want to call me a N.I.G.G.E.R. 'cos it was a word made up by white people to denigrade black people, now white people find it 'embarassing'. How upsetting, boo hoo. This word will one day come back to haunt you, that i can promise you. You pose a lot of questions that imply racism but are sitting on the fence trying not to be one. Which is it?

As I understand it, questions and answers are probably not monitored or if they are only on a spot check basis. What probably happened is one or more people read the question, and not understanding that you not being racist, reported it. This probably invokes an automated system for violations (I doubt Yahoo has the man power to have a human review all the reported violations), which issued you a violation.
This is not a good system for actual justice as you have no recourse, but for these Q&A it's semi reasonable.

confident i'm bored to death with the whole dam lot yet then it became exciting those days whilst the government.stated abolishing ECHR its greater blasted ineffective crap. My daughter is deaf no large deal the appropriate wording now listening to impaired, dam she deaf. I even got here upon myself answering a question formerly on a pair of stutter and that i reported the stutter has a speech impediment. we are being strategies washed whilst there is obviously no choose. Now what takes the biscuit is police removing golly wogs from peoples automobiles because of the fact some edgit unearths its offensive. Oh greater powerful end i'm going to be writing from now till cant say it wouldnt be politically ideal.

You have to realise that some words that may have been used in the past have different and potentially offensive meanings now and that it is not acceptable to use them in general conversation.
Also were you asking the question genuinely, or did you ask the question knowing full well that using the word in your question would cause offence?

you should talk to the guy who lost his job for using the word
"niggardly" correctly with its correct meaning in the public setting.
life is not fair. use good judgment not everyone knows latin.
i don't think yahoo reviews each one. just sends violations if you are reported, doesn't check into the validity of each one. that's why you have to get a lot to get kicked off.

Its only if your white and making racial slurs. Blacks seem to be able to get away with it. Don't ever forget they all walk around with THE RACE CARD IN THEIR POCKET.
