if you dont pay your taxes you go to jail.. that is the first sign of slavery...being punished for not giving your money to someone else. Obey your master! Fellow slave.

I have been but am no longer. I was to the marketing here in the west. That I need money and materials and the latest of everything and a lifestyle with lots of spending. I saw the destruction as my credit was near the point of bankruptcy. This is living ? This is real life ? I was a slave to it but am now independent

The key to the definition is "helpless" and "directly controlled" no adult is helpless or directly controlled. I'm sure your trying to make some profound statement but be wary trying to relate people in today's society as slaves. Your reaching across sensitive boundaries of which you have no first hand knowledge.

Nope,

The closest one of these is "directly contolled" as, in the military, there is a solid rank structure, but I'm free to do what I want in my free time, and at work, as long as I get the work done, so it doesn't really apply to me.

No,I love working. I like accomplishing things. I like participating. When things get tough, the tough get going. An old saying, but still true. People that sit around complaining and whining are full of it.
