In Singapore, most probably YES....cos..with the projected increase of GST from current 5% to proposed 7%.

Cost of every thing is set to rise. Such as:
1) getting married
2) starting a family
3) having children
4) upkeep of family
5) death

If people cannot afford to survive alone then how do they save to get married? If there are less people getting married...then how to have more babies??

This is a long term problem....

I disagree. It seems the both Korea (which says that year of the pig babies 2007 will have comfortable and rich lives) and China (which predicts good luck for them) point to an INcrease in the number of babies, not decrease.
