We're having a baby shower Sunday. Any suggestions for games to play or anything to make it interesting?

i just recently went to a baby shower and some of te games we played were really fun below is a list of some of what we had done

take some cotto balls and place on the florr blind fold a person and hand them a big stiring spoon and empty bowl , set a kitchen timer to 1 minute and have them scoop as many cotton balls into the bowl using only t5hte spoon .
another thing is get a doll and a complete baby out fit , sock, onesie or a t shirt and some pants for a new born , blind fold the peron then have them dress the baby blindfolded to reble chnaging in the dark , the one to do it in less time wins
mothers will be multi tasking so heres something u can do get some clothes line rope and some baby items and clothes pins along with a baby doll and a toy cordless/cell phone have 2 pepole hold up the clothes line and have someone put the baby in one hand the phone near ther eear and the clothes on shoulder and clothes pins in the other like 5 then see how many pieces of clothes they can hang on the line without droping a single item .

take a wide mouth jar like a pickle jar and get a potatoe , have person try to drop the potatoe from between there legs into the jar without droping the potaote , they must place the potatoe between knees at least 2 feet away fro jar and walk with the potaotoe to the jar

get paper pens and pencils ready and have each guest name items related to a baby , the one who write the most in a 2 minute time frame without repeating wins , ie items like baby wipes , powder, bottle formula

then theres the baby bingo game

Get a basket and fill it w/Baby stuff - ie. Baby shampoo, pacifiers, baby powder, spoons, forks, rattles, etc....and show it to your guests. Let them look at it for 1 min. Then, play another game. When they are done, tell them the reason they all had to look at the basket, was because they have to now write down everything on a piece of paper what they remember was in the basket. The good thing about that game is that the Pregnant girl gets to keep all the goodies in the basket! I loved that game for my baby shower. How fun!

I have played this game at baby and wedding showers and it is always a hit.
1. Take a bag of rice and pour it into a bowl.
2. Take the smallest size safty pins and pour them in the bowl (I use the gold ones) and mix them up.
3. Sit the person at a table and blindfold them.
4. The person then puts thier hands in the bowl and tries to remove the pins from the rice. The one who gets the most safty pins out in 2 minutes wins.
5. They cannot take out handfuls they have to try to get only pins.

This is so fun to watch and play. You cannot tell what is rice and what is pins.

Multi-tasking Mama

Two people hold a clothesline, while each attendee takes a turn hanging up baby clothes. The trick is that they have to hang the clothes while holding the baby and talking on a cordless phone! The one who can hang the most clothes in one minute wins.

You place tiny babies in an ice tray and fill with water. Freeze. Then at the shower each guest gets a drink with one baby-to-be in each glass. The guests can not bite the ice cube or suck on it. They have to patiently wait for the baby to be born. The first baby born wins a prize.

Suggestion: in order to get the babies to freeze in the center of the cube, you have to freeze in two steps. First fill half way and freeze, then add baby, then fill the rest of the way and finish freezing. Otherwise, the baby sinks to the bottom.

Everyone gets a big pin that's used to pin cloth diapers together when they arrive at the party. The name of the game is for everyone not to say the word BABY the whole party. If you catch someone saying BABY, you get their pin. At the end of the party, the person with the most pins in their posession wins the prize.

Get the tiny plastic about dime size baby's at a party supply store. Buy Dixie cups, the smallest size. Freeze one plastic baby in water in each cup and have one for each guest. Give them one each and the one who gets the baby out first wins. Tell them no, you can not use any hot liquids to thaw them out either. It is very funny to watch. You can play another game while they work on it too.

get some diapers and 5-6 different candy bars. write numbers on the diapers. melt the candy bars inside the diapers, be sure to smush it around. pass them around and see who can identify the most candy bars. (be careful, if you nuke the diapers to melt the candy bars, my cousin almost burnt down her microwave! 20-30 seconds is enough time)

Write down what she says as she is opening the presents. read back what she said saying these are some things jane said to tom on the night baby was conceived. you'll hear "oh, it's so tiny," "how cute", "my mom had one like that"

I think this is a fun game.
Take a roll of toilet paper and each player has to pull as many squares that they think will fit around your belly. They can not measure it though..they have to guess. The person who is the closest wins !

well there are so many there is a game where you blindfold people and have them draw what they think they baby will look like and who ever does it the best wins, there is also guess the size of your tummy they put their guesses in a box and there name on it and whoever gets it right wins

Everytime someone crosses their legs, pin a clothespin to them.Believe me, everybody will be forgetting and crossing their legs.Whoever has the least in the end wins a prize.
