LOL, beneficial....appropriate rig. Why do no longer you crossfire 2 of those little cookies: GeForce GTX 580 X2 782MHz 3GB and maybe a Intel center i7-3960X drop in a Asus Rampage IV severe Intel X79 save on with that up with a sixty 4 GIG equipment of RAM, some corsair vengeance 8gb x8 maybe g-capacity ripjaws, same value regardless £800, you will be able to desire to attend as kingston has a 2400 Mhz equipment and the x79 chipset is powerful for it. save some funds on a PSU some thing like a 1500W Enermax MaxRevo PSU £250, its solid adequate to your desires now a case yet considering the fact that it is sweet we'd desire to think of water cooling so which you would be able to 24/7 overclock so maybe a Lian Li pc-A77FB, its have been given diverse room, and can be had for a snip at £250, and because its no longer a overall performance improving area you may save some £££ top there. A watercooling gadget for the GPU's and the CPU will set you back approximately £500, should be the solid equipment you notice, its a overall performance rig. hearth in and previous DVD rigidity, as long as its have been given DL, no might desire to BR its no longer worth it. Now with that its as much as you for video show gadgets yet i could stay away with something under a 2560 x 1440 res as those enjoying cards opt to unfold there wings, you need to be waiting to %. up a inexpensive one at £500 or so. so say £1500 As for mouse and keyboard, pass loopy. So approximately £4500 could purchase you close up on the appropriate gaming rig obtainable right this moment. Even then that would desire to be tweaked. or you will be able to desire to be smart as that £4500 will purchase that two times over next 365 days,

For the processor it's the Intel Core 2 Duo QX6700 (this is it's real name and it's Quad core)

For the Graphics it's GeForce 8800GTX x2 for SLI power.

Sure you can wait, but it's a gamble, we don't really know if AMD's quad core will be better, equal or weaker than Intel's current offering.

For CPUs, pretty much 99% of the games available and will be available still uses 1 core. Multi-core games will be harder and will take longer to make. I don't expect any soon. And you don't have to wait for AMD's CPU. Intel Xeon Quad-Core is available and is better now, except you'll have 3 useless and unused cores.

AT THE PRESENT MOMENT in time,

Don't forget the power supply:

And Memory:

Just as a side note: be prepared for sticker shock-these parts will set you back upwards of $2500 US and you haven't even included hard drives-(I would suggest 3 300GB SATA drives in a striped raid array, and 1 500GB single SATA drive for storage,
optical drive(s), case, CPU cooler, etc.

By the way-you might want to consider ordering a second video card and set up the SLI.

Or, go to Alienware.com and just configure your own rig there.

PS-Consider your monitor as well-if you want an LCD monitor, make sure the response time is <= 4ms for gaming; if you go the CRT route, look for a flat screen.

You can use 8800GTX instead of the 7900GTX SLI.
It supports DirectX 10 and may be useful for future
