Hi anu..pp what saying is very much correct, but i have so diff way to study.
i dont enjoy my studies so much , but rather enjoy talking with friends ,playing games ,surfing net etc., so what i do is i bring my studies into everything,,while talking to my friends we also discus about our subjects, while playing games we relate our games with some subjects manytimes..and also while surfing net..i usually keep going to websities which keep giving hints about suject and have interest too.
so i would say keep sense about yr subject and try to mix it with everything which is also as imp as yr subject is..enjoy whole life..start doing what is important then what is possiable and suddenly u will do what is impossiable

Read on mate...very very useful....

One of the most terrifying things on Earth is the period of time when one has to concentrate on nothing but that open textbook. How can you concentrate in a perfect way that won't affect your revision?
Steps

1. First, take out a piece of rough paper and list a column of 1-10. Then, before you hit the books, brainstorm 10 'pros' on why you should concentrate. Don't even think about the 'cons', because you'll never come up with the 'pros' if you think about the 'cons'.
2. Get everything you need for your revision. A cup of coffee? Candy? Your teddy bear? Put them within reach so you won't be strolling around the house, and then being distracted by that cartoon showing on TV.
3. Make a timetable. You can't really concentrate if you read, read, and read again for 24 hours straight. The best thing is 30-60 minutes periods with 5-10 minutes break in between. That works great for me.
4. Prepare a full set of rough paper, note sheets, stationery and files. Also, have your books and some reference titles nearby. Don't hop up in the middle of revision to get anything.
5. If you're really desperate and can't stop yourself from hopping up and down, get a ribbon and tie yourself to the chair. Then move the knot into the most difficult position that you can reach. That really works.

Warnings

* For no. 5, never ever tie too tightly, for it can really hurt.

Things You'll Need

* Ribbon
* Papers, files, stationery
* Everything you need for revision.

It depends on why the student does not currently have full concentration towards their studies! I have some suggestions below for the more "behavioral" issues with lack of concentration.

For some students, it is important to see the "real world" relevance to the lesson. So, if that applies to you, ask your teachers to tell you why you need to understand the lesson and how it will help you in the future, perhaps with another class, in university or in a career. None of us like to do things which we perceive as a waste of time.

Some students fail to concentrate simply because there are many distractions around. Try reducing visual and auditory distractions (no television, music, computer, keep your desk area clear of clutter, etc.). Also, it is best to study - and only study - in the same place as you will begin to associate that space with studying and not doing other things. In other words, don't play video games where you study.

Keep your study area tidy, with good light and always have your resources handy. Keep a good dictionary, ruler, pencil sharpener, etc. within arm's reach. Also, try to study at the same time every day. You will begin to associate that time with studying and only studying.

It is also helpful to give yourself time limits. When you begin to study, estimate how long each task will take to complete. Then, break those tasks into smaller bits to suit your concentration span. Some students can study for 20 minutes at a time and others for 45 minutes. Giving yourself frequent, regular breaks of about 2-5 minutes each helps the brain to process what it has learned (it allows synapses to make connections or memories). Also, knowing that you get a break often helps us to concentrate in a more focused manner during the time that we have to work.

Most importantly, one needs to eat healthily and sleep adequately to maintain the energy it takes to "fully concentrate."

If you want to learn more about your mind and how to control it as well as increase your concentration, you might try meditation. There are many web sites on the topic. One excellent site is www.dhamma.org/

Good luck!

Dear don't bother about your concentration it might also be a reason for lack of concentration.
One more thing can be done that keep away all the distacting things away from you atleast 2 hour prior to the studies.

One Meditation method:

Take Long breaths
Try to to figure out the thing in your mind
Then find the thing on the mind immedietly before this
Keep on doing this untill you reach to the root of the thought
and, as soon as you are able to reach at this level you will find that ur mind is free from distraction and you are concentrated.
(It might take 2-3 days but have patience and faith on this method u'll be able to concentrate.)

Organize your study time to get the fullest impact from it. -Find out what kind of learner you are- visual, audio or a a mix of both. -What kind of atmosphere do you study in best? Crowded areas? The bookstore sitting lounge? The library? -Do you get hungry or thirsty when you study? Have an apple and juice on standby. -How much time will you study and what books will you need to use during that time? Make sure you've set those out so you don't have to interrupt yourself getting out various papers or supplementary titles in the middle of a good study push. -Outlines are wonderful for categorizing information and finding details quickly and easily.

A student must concentrate on a definite goal. he should concentrate on that subject in which he has interest.

first of all reduce the number of friends... no boy friends... no sex talks... fix-up time for study and put alarms / reminders in your computer, organiser or cell so that you do not miss your study schedule...

you would not be able to concentrate unless you understand what you study... hence turn a page only when you understand the current one...

tryout... best of luck...

remember if you struggle for studies today you would enjoy your future... and if you enjoy your life today then i assure you that not so good days are ahead...

however this question has come in your mind... it is an indication that you would outshine every one in the time to come... Good Luck...

Application. Finding a way to apply the subject to a topic or activity the student enjoys or is already interested in will lead to them wanting to understand it more, drawing their attention to it as a means to further their existing goals.
