Maybe, depends on how big the education gap is, and what each person expects of the marriage. What is his idea of what kind of life his wife will have or what their relationship will be versus hers.

I certainly do understand the background and culture you're referring to. It just isn't going to be easy for you over time. Initially of course things will be great - intimacy, connecting with the family and people around you there, etc.

And as life normalizes into a more routine structure, you'll begin to feel the void in your life. Especially if you are from a very different cosmopolitan environment.

For instance, a casual conversation with another male at a street corner will be noticed, will be even criticized, most likely will be even condemned. If you grew up in a city/cosmo environment, this will sound crazy to you.

The word "career" will no longer exist in your dictionary. You'll have to make those compromises even as early as the first year of your married life.

So, make sure you're pretty comfortable making those huge lifestyle and attitude changes before you even consider this marriage. Especially in a culture where a marriage is for life :-)

think sensibly.do you see potential in the guy?is he going to take good care of you and respect you? do you like his family?if not then you would be compromising and you're not gonna be happy. measure your pros and cons .you're the best judge and you're special.so do some constructive thinking .
the best would be - ask for time to get to know the guy,he might amuse you and turn out to be a nice ambitious human being.
take care.
