Felons commited crimes before they applied for the job. Not all jobs are closed to felons. If you do not want to commit crime you will not. Don't blame anyone but the criminal.

Does it cause them to commit crimes? No. It could be argued that it increases the likelihood of the felon committing another crime (especially larceny, fraud, etc). But there is no causal relationship.

No. They can get jobs. They just have to do things they may not 'like' doing to earn the respect in the job market.

If they don't want to work, they can use the felon excuse to make people think they can't find work - they're just not willing to put out the effort.

Is spanking your kid for hitting someone causing them to hit more people? Same logic.
