What do you think it will consist of, how will it be set up, what will it be used for.. that sort of thing..

yes, he said skilled civilians.. I didn't get the impression he meant for combat.. but it was still vague.. I'm curious what others think.

I doubt it will be people for combat. I was thinking he meant, mechanics, truck drivers, cooks, etc...

I'm curious as to how he envisions training the "Civilian Reserve".

Our Military Reserve goes through the same physical training as our Active Duty members.

Will the members of the Civilian Reserve be normal members of the working class trained for the ability to have heightened observation? Sounds like Big Brother or a Brave New World. Everybody checking in on everybody else.

I agree with one of the other posters in that this CR might involve people like truckers, postal people, meter readers, librarians, next door neighbors, where does it end, etc. I'm interested to see how this pans out.

I think its a good idea. It'll keep our prices level even if the middle east decides to go into suicide mode.
