This is more of a response to other people's answers ... his name IS actually spelled Bongiovi. He was born John Bongiovi and changed his stage name to Jon Bon Jovi at the request of his record company.
I've never had a conversation with him, but I'm sure he's like anyone would expect him to be. He seems to be one of the few people in the business with his head on straight. That's probably his wife's influence.

He lives down the street from me. Nice guy. He gets a little tired of being mistaken for Jon Bon JOVI the rock star though.

About 10 years ago, I met him while in the studio with a friends band. Maybe it was just a bad day but he was kind of obnoxious. I was introduced and he blew me off. Richie was cool, he hung out with us.

I've never had a chance to talk to him althought I did get to touch his belt buckle last year. I'm sure if YOU talked to him however, he would tell you to learn how to spell his name.
