21, TX; No, Puerto Rico needs to stay an independent nation. I've heard no reason to accept it as a part of the Union.

i do not want them to. Puerto Ricans and individuals can already holiday lower back in fourth conveniently. We already supply rather some money to them yet when we take them as a state than we can want to spend billions on fixing up the country, installation a state goverment. also there is more suitable of a probability that they gained't take care of to pay the taxes we pay so that you'll be able to pay a lot less and performance more suitable invested for them. base line, it enables Puerto Ricans hurts individuals.

I think it is long past the time for us to tell Puerto Rico that they need to decide either to become a sate or an independent nation.

At this point I suspect that they are just taking advantage of us.

No.
Even though it is the right and sole decision of Puerto Ricans to make that choice, I would prefer they gain independence. We spend far too much of US taxes supporting Puerto Rico, and it would undoubtably send 2 more Democrats to the Senate.

23 from NE.

I have no problem with that...they have been a US territory for years....just like every other state was before they became a state. If they vote to become a state let them....but if i recall they have tried twice and voted it down.
