or other such things similar. I think P. Bush only makes decissions about oil so he can personally get rich? Anyone agree or disagree? and Why? If everything is handed to him while in office and everything is free, do you think he should not be allowed to profit from such industries like Oil. He should only be allowed his Salary?

I wholeheartedly, completely 100% agree with you!!!!!

Most of these people don't realize there are ways around congress and all that other political stuff, Bush is a manipulator of the people and the sooner he is out of office the better. I've never agreed with the way he does things at all. He has tried to convince the American public that he is a god-fearing man, well honey my opinion is that god-fearing and politician just don't mix, know what I mean.
I just hope whoever our next president is, is able to straighten out the mess he has created.

I'd say so. Having financial interests in anything leads to crooked politics and a leaning towards political decision making that favors the stock price of oil companies over the well being of the majority of Americans.

Let's take an inventory of George W. Bush.

Prior to his presidency, he had interests in Oil and Energy companies. During his presidency, what occurred? Enron robbed people for many years prior collapsing after robbing Californians millions of dollars by price fixing. What did Bush do? Nothing. In fact when the former CEO of Enron died, he was all teary and sympathetic for this man whose actions destroyed the hard earned retirement accounts of many Enron employees and who devastated the lives of Californians.

In fact, in California, because energy prices were so ridiculously high, many Senior Citizens died of heat exhaustion from the summer energy spikes leading to blackouts. Same thing happened in the Winter when it got too cold.

Now let's look at oil companies:

Everyone knew prior to the Iraq war that, if the US attacked Iraq, it would cause oil prices to go up and thus, cause the stock price of oil to rise considerably. What did Bush decide? In the middle of a UN investigation, he hurried the investigation with his politics by riling up American sentiment based on our fears of terrorism because of what happened in 9/11. Then he created also sorts of political foreplay to deceive the American public in thinking that the war was justifiable.

What happened? We attacked Iraq. I recall a neighbor telling me as we were talking about stock investments, ironically, he was Jewish. He told me regarding his portfolio: "I'm 'betting' on a war."

I thought that was pathetic. He was a WW2 veteran too. I was proud of what he did for our country and what, in the name of greed did he do? Invest in oil companies at the expense of American soldiers blindly defending themselves in Iraq, a war destined to be a failure.

I wouldn't be suprised if our president had indirect financial interests in Halliburton too.

Sure, sure, I'm pretty certain he has covered his behind in it all. But when he's out of politics, I bet you he will be incredibly rich. If he had any decency, he'd give all his profits to the families of those who lost 3,000 plus American soldiers in an Iraq that is a 3rd World disaster area. Worse off than before the war began.

If we went to war for oil.... oil would be cheaper and it isn't so... your bias theory has just been thrown out the window.

Do you honestly think as an intelligent human being that this whole war was Bush's evil plan?

You forget that Congress and most Democrats voted for the war before they were against it...

I am so sick of Bush bashing that I have taken sides to support the man....

Most hateful things said about Bush is untrue... that's why I support the man...

Stop reading Michael Moore's braindrain... and start waking up from fantasy....

You don't have to like Bush... just don't make lies and stupid false statements about him...

thankyou

Politics 101. He is not a Dictator so he does not make desicions with out approval by congress and senate. There are plenty of Congressmen and Senators that also stand to become rich in oil. Ask Hilary. She is a large investor in oil.

Honey, you need to do more than just think, Micheal Moore profited off the oil from his stocks in Haliberton not President Bush.

It's kickbacks from Big Oil to the Congress and the party, not necessarily personal profits.

Cheney used to be an upper-management employee (or possibly even a CEO; I can't remember now) at Halliburton. It shouldn't be all that surprising that the position came with stock options.

What the press loves to ignore, however, is that he donates all of that money AND MORE to charity every year.
