Art and Human anatomy (u dont have the later as gcse) but you will also defo need english and maths as standard these days
You will have to go to UNI, A-levels wont be enough i'm afraid, uni will teach you about what it's like working inthe industry, which im sure at this point you haven't a clue (think you do-but dont)

Good luck tho!:)

I would suggest that you need Art or Design (or something creative of that sort) coupled with ICT. Animation is essentially a computer-based activity these days so you'll have to be pretty good at that. You'll also need a good grade in the usual things: English, Maths etc as you'll definitely go on to do further study and you can't let yourself down with the fundamentals.

Why not speak to a careers advisor, or even track down an animation company and give them a call (or write) to ask for guidance?

Your school should be able to point you in the direction of your careers advisor, but if you aren't happy speaking to him/her, try a more direct approach to a company (they'll appreciate the effort you're making and the interest you're showing in what they do).

Good luck, work hard and keep at it!

If you're thinking of getting a university degree (BA, animation) first you should consider getting into a foundation art course which last 1 year after your A levels. Many places ask for 1 A level usually in art and some GCSEs (one in art), Then, entry to uni depends on your portfolio from your foundation course. Without qualifications you need to try your luck with your school results.
