I'm a female police officer and I'm wearing 40 denier black nylon tights with lycra.
However, they are underneath my trousers and I have a pair of woolly socks over them and a pair of patrol boots. Not quite the image you're looking for I would imagine.

I am wearing them because i am cold. I got them from Asda and they cost £2.99 per pack of 4. I bet thats not the answer you were expecting!! Hope its cooled you down a bit.
