I was in theater for several years, and have dated a few singers.
Thick liquids coat your throat. a study done in the early 90's demonstrated that milk, skim milk, soy milk and products made form any of these all did the same thing.
The result of this coating is increased mucus in the throat, which in turn interferes with singing and acting.
We could always tell who had been drinking milk before a performance, because they were the one hacking and coughing. The strain performances put on your vocal chords make that extra mucus go form something you wouldn't notice in daily life to a major headache on stage.
So, unless you;re playing a mute, stay away from any heavy, thick liquids the day of and night before any rehearsals or shows.

singing requires some time to put in and if you drink something creamy then that will have some of the parts of the drink in your troat and there is a most likely chance you will cough during recording session and have to start over

The will cause you to produce more phlegm and you will not sound very good. The best thing to drink is a cup of warm. caffeine-free tea.

i could advise almond or soy milk, or skim milk yet even it is iffy. the concern with dairy is that it could clog up your throat and lungs, no longer yogurt or cheese lots as milk. i think of that for the period of moderation, this is wonderful. once you're thinking, my mum is a soprano operatic, so she's shrink out milk altogether.
