H to the NO!!!!!!

God is a myth, if he was real than what they say about him are lies. people say that he created humans and he decided he wanted light so he made it and he wanted pretty little puppies so he made them too.

Everything "people" say about "him" can be proven scientifically. humans are created by the male and female reproductive cells.

in any case, this so called god is the root of all evil. if he was really so powerful than why does he allow bad things to happen to his "children". He should be able to snap his fingers and rid the universe of evil, but he can't.

the beleif of Devine Intervention states that everything that happens is because God says so... explain Hurricane Katrina, September 11, 2001, Anthrax, Aids, Slavery etc. What was his purpose for these occurances.

Jesus was born human, come on now, what human do you know who can be born from a virgin. Mary was cheating on Joseph. Many people were killed at that period of time but they chose his story to be worshiped.

In my opinion, he is a fairy-tale that people use to escape from the realities of life, to lift their spirits.

People tend to subscribe to the beliefs of their culture or the beliefs that they are exposed to by perceived power. Why did Christianity take such huge numbers whereas Judaism has relatively few? Proselytizing. It's not like all of South America just started reading all religious texts on their own and decided Christianity was right, and it's not like they all of the sudden felt some intrinsic reason to believe in Christianity--they were subjugated to the takeover by Christians. This is just case and point for why people believe what they do.

I've taken religion, biological anthropology, philosophy courses, and so on and it's obvious to me that the supernatural does not exist. That's simply my stance. Had I never explored the issue of existence at great length, I might still believe that "something is out there." But, alas, I don't, and I do think there might be something to the saying "ignorance is bliss," because I'd probably rather die believing in an afterlife.

Yes, I do believe in God, not only do I believe in Him, I love Him and find Him to be faithful and loving. This has taken me years to see, it is not an over night thing. I am near 60 yrs old and as I look back at all the hardships over the years I see the Hand of God, leading, comforting, guiding. When, my fiance died suddenly and my heart was broken. I just called on the name of Jesus and my pain would be bearable. The many questions I have had in life that only God could answer have come to me in the most interesting of ways. It takes a willingness to believe, to have that little seed of faith. God loves faith and rewards those who seek Him. The reward is to know Him and discover that you love Him and even better that God loves you. I hope you find Him, He waits for you.

I would like to, but i find the whole concept too ridiculous. I believe science can point out that we evolved from some lower form of life, i don't know which. i can understand people wanting to believe i myself would like to believe in something higher, the thought of rotting into nothing is not very appealing. It means everything we have tried to achieve in life will in the end mean nothing. I think previous generations gone by have thought the same, this is where and why the bible and our supposed saviour has come from. I know i will not live forever , so i plan to do everything i want to and to enjoy it. Thats all i can do.

I am an atheist because I don't believe in deities and the word atheist describes this state of disbelief. I don't believe in deities because no argument or evidence presented to me in support of their existence has been convincing.

1. Biology adequately describes life and emotions without appealing to mystical invisible dieties

2. Astronomy adequately describes the formation of stars/planets/universe/etc without appealing to mystical invisible dieties

3. Geology adequately describes the evolution of the Earth, land formations, etc without appealing to mystical invisible dieties

4. Psychology describes the human psyche better than appealing to mystical invisible dieties

5. Appealing to mystical invisible dieties is an appeal to ignorance using CAVE MAN logic.

6. There's no physical evidence for the existence of mystical invisible dieties

7. A myriad of mystical invisible dieties have been posited by emphatically superstitious societies and have been proven to be products of overly active imaginations (today's religion is tomorrow's myth) and ignorance.

8. Believing in mystical invisible dieties seems to become quite absurd when those who posit the mystical invisible dieties begin explaining why and how they exist in the face of contradictory physical evidence.

9. As scientific knowledge increases, the role of the mystical invisible dieties oddly gets pushed further and further back.

10. Mystical invisible dieties are mystical invisible dieties (ie can never be found by empirical methods)

The diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light years, exceeds ordinary human comprehension...right? a time interval vastly greater than all of human history.

Another thousand times farther takes us to distant cluster of galaxies, but even then, that would be less than one ten-thousandths of a percent of the observable Universe. We are mere specks in an abyss of time and space.

With that backgroud, how can one reasonbly think there's a supernatural being or sentient lifeform out there that's worried about humans, let alone our planet?....don't make me laugh.

From the perspective of the Universe, man does not exist.

I believe in God but not in religion that has been created by human.
I think there's no such religion created by God, only love and respect of each other.
I don't think that If I drink one glass of wine, I'll go to hell.
Everything should be in moderation, as our beliefs in God.
He's everything but I do think God want our happiness.

That is a big discussion, it is something that you cannot resume in few sentences. :)

if i believe in the devil.. i definitely believe in God... but i don't believe in the whole shoving religion down your throat thing... i hate that!... you prolly got that all up on you that's why you don't believe in him at all.. but anyway... it's your opinion and you're definitely entitled to it... so goodluck with life without faith in God...

To a true believer nothing you say can make them not believe in God. To a non-believer no argument or proof can prove their is a God. Believing and disbelieving in God is solely at God's discretion. He chooses whom he will to believe in him. To a non- believer, I'm a fool for believing in God. To me others are fools for their disbelief.
