Yes, they can be. Aries is strong-willed, outgoing, generally arrogant, and manipulative. Capricorns, although more quiet and not as outgoing, are also strong-willed, and at times can be manipulative. You both are determined people and you both love to come out as winners.
Now on the flip side, you both are cardinal signs; meaning you both are leaders when it comes to initiative and decision making. If Aries always has to dominate every decision in the household, pretty soon capricorn will get irked.
Another thing about an Aries & Capricorn relationship is how arguments are played out. Aries will start it and Capricorns will finish it! Aries will breath his fiery temper (I want you to do...), and capricorn will dig in and hold it's ground (I aint budging an inch).
And sometimes in the sex department, Aries may wish that capricorns would make love with a little bit more passion, fire, and excitement.
Aside from those things, they can make it in the world. They both will go out and bring home the money, but capricorns will be more frugal with theirs. In a marriage between you two, it would be better to let capricorn handle the bills.

For some reason this match comes up a lot on here. It's a strong initial attraction but in the end there are just too many differences. Every sign seems to have one other sign that they just can't resist even if they're not a good match for them. I'm a Scorpio and I always find myself attracted to Libras. But, after a bad relationship with one, I know to stay away.

Of course any sign can work with another but it's going to be a lot of work and compromise. My parents were an Aries(Mother)/Capricorn(Father) match and they started out well but they eventually split. My mother also had two other relationships with Capricorns that ended up rocky. Well I have to tell you that it doesnt matter the sign, its the person you were dealing with. Good men are born under all signs so you cant play into that whole zodiac thing. The up-side is that atleast you found out he wasnt a good man before the relationship got too sereous thus avoiding major heart break and dissapointment on your part...
