I personally have never used a tinted moisturizer, however, I do sort of "make" my own. I am an advocate for Pout and Clarins. I use Clarin's Active Day cream moisturizer and in it, blend about 1/2 a pump of foundation. Use a very small portion of what you created and rub it between the palms of your hands not only to warm it with friction, but to make it easier to spread it on your face without getting excess everywhere. Wait about 5 minutes for your skin to start soaking in the moisturizer, then repeat with the remaining portion, applying it only where you need it. (Generally forehead, cheeks and neck) If you're going for a dewy look, leave it as is, or if you're going for a full day matte look, top with a light dusting of powder.

Laura Mercier Tinted moisturiser is by far the best, it has an SPF 20 and is so light but gives good coverage to give a flawless finish to your face. You can pick it up in Selfridges, Harrods and all Space NK's.

Estee Lauder DayWear Plus SPF 15- It is fantastic. I'm on my 4th bottle. It blends to your own natural skin colour, so you cannot get the wrong shade. It's not cheap at £28 in most department stores. I think it is well worth it though. And with an SPF 15 its good for your skin too. It definately does not cause spots or pore blockages.

Boots No7 Intelligent Colour is excellent, it feels very light, blends well and easily; it's part of the premier range so is more expensive than their normal stuff, but ti's still a reasonable price.
Bourjois do a good range.
I'd recommend Clinique highly, too.

Olay make a tinted moisturiser that is excellent , it goes on evenly and stays even all day. It is very cheap (price-wise, not content-wise) Around £7.00. a tube.
